Inner teachings of Jesus from a Spiritual Perspective

This paper attempts to look at creation and scriptures from a spiritual perspective.

The stages through which one’s consciousness can be raised from ordinary consciousness to Christ and God consciousness can be experience by any sincere and dedicated aspirant.

What holds one back from this experience is a lack of faith in venturing beyond mental constructs and, or attachment to one’s conditioned fixed way of believing.

The creative process according to Yoga

Before creation, there is only unmanifest Spirit. In manifesting creation, Spirit becomes God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

As soon as Spirit evolved a cosmic vibratory thought, through the action of the cosmic power of maya, delusion, the unmanifest Spirit become God the Father, the creator of all creative vibrations. God the Father in the yoga traditions is called Ishvara, (the Cosmic Ruler) or Sat (the supreme pure essence of Cosmic Consciousness) – the transcendental Intelligence. That is, God the Father exists transcendentally untouched by vibratory creation as a conscious, separate Cosmic Consciousness.

The vibratory force emanating from Spirit, endowed with the illusory creative power of maya, is the Holy Spirit: Cosmic vibration, the Word, AUM (OM) or Amen

The Holy Spirit in Yoga is the AUM or Maha Prakriti (Great Nature, the Cosmic Mother that gives birth to all of creation). “These things saith says the Amen (the Word, AUM), the faithful and true witness, the beginning of creation of God.” (Revelation 3:13).

The holy Cosmic Sound of AUM or Amen is the witness of the manifest Divine Presence in all creation.

The transcendent consciousness of God became manifest in the Holy Spirit vibration as the Son or Christ Consciousness, God’s intelligence in all vibratory creation. This pure reflection of God in the Holy Spirit indirectly guides it to create, re-create, preserve and mold creation according to God’s divine purpose. Christ consciousness is the same as the infinite Christ. It is the source of life and consciousness of all living beings. It is present in human beings as the soul.

When Jesus said: “No no one comes to the Father but through me (the consciousness that is in me).”
                                                                      John 14:6
Elaborations

Holy Ghost or Spirit is the Cosmic Intelligent Vibration projected from God to structure and sustain creation from Its own Vibratory Essence. It may be said, that it is the Holy Presence of God. The Comforter, Cosmic Mother Nature.

Christ, Jesus the Christ. This term also denotes God’s universal intelligence immanent in creation (sometimes referred to as Cosmic Christ or the Infinite Christ).

The Greek word is Christos and means anointed, the Hebrew word is Messiah.

So what is Christ Consciousness?

It is the projected consciousness of God immanent in all creation. In Christian scriptures, it is the “only” begotten son,” the only pure reflection in creation of God the Father. In yoga Tat, the universal consciousness, or cosmic intelligence, of Spirit everywhere present in creation. (The terms Christ Consciousness and Christ Intelligence are synonymous, as also are Cosmic Christ and Infinite Christ). It is the universal consciousness, oneness with God, manifested by Jesus, Krishna and other avatars.

Saints and Yogis know it as the state of samadhi meditation wherein their consciousness has become identified with the divine intelligence in every particle of creation; they feel the entire universe as their own body.

God’s love gave the world his only begotten son. What is the esoteric perspective of this?

There seems to be a misconception between the “Son of man” and the “only begotten Son of God”. Church teachings don’t seem to understand or acknowledge the human element in Jesus that he was a man, born in a mortal body, who had evolved his consciousness to become one with God Himself.

Not the body of Jesus but the consciousness was one with the only begotten Son, the Christ consciousness, the only reflection of God the Father in creation.

In urging people to believe in the only begotten Son, Jesus was referring to this Christ Consciousness, which was fully manifest within him and all God realized masters throughout the ages, and is latent within every soul. (The writings of many Gnostic Christians from the first two centuries A.D. including Basilides, Theodotus (Gnostic), Valentinus and Ptolemaeus, expressed an understanding of the only begotten Son as a cosmic in creation.

At the Council of Nicaea (325 A.D) and the later Council of Constantinople (381 A.D.) the church proclaimed as official doctrine that Jesus himself was in the words of the Nicene Creed, “the only begotten Son of God, begotten from the Father before all ages, light from light, true God from true God, begotten not made, of one substance with the Father.”

Jesus said that all souls who lift their physical consciousness (Son or man consciousness) to the astral body and then become one with the only begotten Christ intelligence in all creation, will know eternal life.

Does this mean that all who do not believe in Jesus as their Savior will be condemned?

What Jesus meant was that whoever does not realize himself as one with universal Christ Consciousness is condemned to live and think as a struggling mortal, limited by sensory boundaries, because he has separated himself from the Eternal Principles of life.

Jesus never referred to his son of man consciousness, or to his body, as the only savior throughout all time. Abraham and many others were saved even before Jesus was born. It is the Christ intelligence that is the universal redeemer. As a sole reflection of the Absolute Spirit (the Father) in the world of relativity, the Infinite Christ is the one mediator or link between God and matter, through which all matter formed individuals irrespective of creeds must pass in order reach God.

All souls (aspects of God) can free their matter confined consciousness and attain the Omnipresence by tuning in with Christ Consciousness.

Jesus said:”When you lift up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he.
                                                                    John 8:28

Jesus emphasized that whoever would believe in his spirit as the Infinite Christ incarnate in him would discover the path to eternal life through the meditative interiorized ascension of the consciousness.

“That whosoever believeth in him should nor perish.”
                                                                       John 3:15

The forms of nature change, but the Infinite Intelligence immanent in nature is ever unchanged.

Consciousness States
In mortal consciousness, man experiences three states: waking consciousness, sleeping consciousness and dreaming consciousness. But he does not experience his soul or super-consciousness, and he does not experience God. A Christ person does.

As mortal man is conscious throughout the body, so Christ man is conscious throughout the universe, which he feels as his body.

Beyond the state of Christ Consciousness is cosmic consciousness, the experience of oneness with God in His absolute consciousness beyond vibratory creation as well as with the Lord’s omnipresent manifestation in the phenomenal worlds.

Two ways to be in tune with Christ

The first way is to be happy with everything; feeling good will toward all; casting off prejudicial limitations, being upstanding morally and livening righteously.

The second way is to uplift one’s consciousness through the spine into the higher centers of consciousness in the brain, and then meditate on Christ. Christ Consciousness is everywhere, but God has given us the freedom to shut Him out or let Him in. The barrier is not in our vision, but in our consciousness. We need to connect with Christ in the silence of our soul in meditation and feel the presence of calmness as a gift from God.

Every sincere devotee who through meditation lifts his ordinary mortal consciousness to the Son or Christ consciousness will eventually attain Cosmic Consciousness or oneness with God.

It is unfortunate, that most people are identified with their body and their limited ego.

Sons of God, clear reflections of the Father untarnished by delusion, have become sons of man by identification with the flesh and forgotten their origin in Spirit. But Jesus showed us by his purified consciousness how to retrace one’s identity and realize oneself as son of God.

Everyone through meditation can purify his mind and receive the reflected light of God as son of God.

We can retrace the various stages of higher vibrations in order to lift our consciousness to Christ Consciousness and see ourselves as children of God made in His image.

Son of man and son of God

The son of man is the physical body, which is born of another human body, but son of God means the soul, the inherent divine consciousness in  man, born not of man’s will or flesh, but of God. All human beings are sons of God, born of God, made in his image.

To receive Christ is not accomplished just through church membership, or by outer rituals of acknowledging Jesus as one’s savior, but by contacting him in meditation.

To know Christ is to close the eyes, expand the consciousness and so deepen the concentration that through the inner light of soul intuition one partakes of the some consciousness that Jesus had.

A true Christian is he who frees his soul from the consciousness of the body and unites it with the Christ Intelligence pervading all creation.
