Inner Strength

Our state of consciousness can best be judged by the way we translate inner strength into action.

For us to be walking in the Spirit of God must mean to strive continuously to improve our weaknesses and let the God’s Spirit reflect in our Lives. Thus our light will shine for all to see.

“The Lord said, All things unto me are Spiritual and not at any time have I given unto you a law that is temporal”.

When we invoke higher laws and then put them into practice, we should realize, that this does not mean that we can put claim on higher rights; rather it require from us the performance of higher duties.

What are these duties, surrender of the fruits of our actions, humility, service where ever service is needed, sharing, kindness, praying for others, meditating, contemplating and  more.

We must perform all of our duties, without claiming the fruits for them.

We do claim the fruits, when we display an attitude of attachment toward expectations. When expectations are not met, the mind becomes restless; we lose concentration and fall pray to the influence of the ego. This is why we are taught, that we are in title to labor, but not its fruits.

To be at peace, we must internalize and express a way of right living.

We live in a challenging time. The status quo is gone. If we think otherwise we are living in a dream world.
There is talk of war; there is globalization, loss of freedom through greater control we could go on and on. But the purpose here is to have a clear perspective of what is going on in the world and how to transcend the hold it has on the lives of people around us.

More and more we may feel that we need help beyond our own natural gifts and abilities in finding our way in a complex, challenging and difficult world.
How should we approach all these issues?

We must be completely convinced, that all answers to the problems we face, will be made known to us through the Spirit of God.

There are many in this world now that walk the streets in fear for their lives, but if they have that inner strength that comes from Spirit and know that they are not this body but Spirit, there is no need for fear.

Matthew 10:28 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul”.

We all understand the message of the Spirit in our own way.
In our busy schedule, we must never forget our quiet time and our meditation.
This portion of our being is only reserved for us and our creator. It provides for us that part of our living where no other soul can intrude. It is here, where we come close to the Divine, both in and out of this world.

What a marvelous thing it is to fully realize this in one’s life.
As we undertake to strengthen the inner soul, we move beyond concerns for things that we can hold and possess.

Everything here on earth, but the soul of man, is a passing shadow. The only enduring substance is within”.
We must fully realize that those who strengthen their inner Self shall see the face of God. Yet we must remember that we have to enter our inner sanctuary with great humility.

This is the time where more than ever we must be guided by wisdom rather than by convention.

Many people live primarily by convention. They don’t really know what is right or real because they are always comparing things on the basis of outer appearance. We see today when we look at the world scene what appears right to some is totally wrong to others.

We all must make an effort to free ourselves from conventional thinking and live by using the power of our free choice guided by wisdom. Wisdom comes from the soul. When we are surrendered in God, we are soul directed instead of outer directed. This brings us freedom in our expressions as children of God.

God sent man on earth empowered with certain physical, mental and spiritual forces that he can wield, and by their wise use produce intended definite results.
We must act with wisdom guided purpose. It is wisdom and will that govern the body and mind.

Wisdom is the soul’s intuitive, direct knowledge of truth. Our will should always be guided by wisdom. One without the other is dangerous. If we have wisdom, but not sufficient will to follow through as wisdom dictates, we will soon realize that our lives don’t work well.
Conversely, if we have a strong will and no wisdom, we can create great harm in our lives and the lives of others.

Practicing Kriya Yoga requires the right use of our will.
It requires discipline, study and surrender of ego in God.
Its promise to us is peace and joy. The joy that comes with Kriya is greater than the joys of all pleasurable physical sensations put together.

Unattached to the sensory world, the Yogi experiences the ever new joy of being. His soul engages in the union with Spirit, he attains indestructible bliss.
When by Kriya Yoga the devotee enters samadhi, wherein his eyes, breath, and heart are quieted, another world comes into view.
Breath, sound and movement belong to the world. But the yogi who has control over the breath may enter the heavenly astral and causal worlds and commune there with God.

It is peace and joy what most people want. Many look for it outside themselves where it is not. Many people never reach this state of peace and joy. Why, because they lack the discipline and will to live the higher way. We can know about God through reading, through lectures, but we cannot know God through the intellect. We can only know God through intuition and Grace which is made possible through prayer and meditation.

We should pray.
As we are bound by the law of creation to work, may we perform our duties only to please Thee. Bless us every moment that we may realize, that thou art more important than eating or sleeping or anything else. Bless us that we are able to meet Thy tests and avoid the temptations of the senses. Let thy Spirit express through us as us so that Thy will not ours will be done.
Amen.

Let us all make a supreme effort and never give up until we are God realized.
