Contemplating our True Nature Reflection

What is our true nature? Our true nature is beyond attributes and form, it is not the body, it is not the mind, it is being. It has no form, it cannot be described. It can only be experienced as deep peace. Yet it is more, as it connects us to a felt sense of Oneness, Wholeness, that infuses us with that radiant joy.

How can we experience the connection to the All?

We can experience the All in meditation and by truly embracing the present moment. This occurs, when we acknowledge what is. Yet so often, we oppose life as it unfolds, it unfolds in the NOW and will always unfold as NOW. We must surrender to what is, we must say Yes to life and experience how life works for us rather than against us.

What is our dilemma?

It is our undisciplined, conditioned mind which tells us that it knows better. We have a perception of how life should be and if it does not flow in that direction, we become disturbed.
We don’t direct our thoughts; instead we let our minds stray in all directions. Perhaps the reason for this is that we really don’t know what we want. We make affirmations, yet act contrary to what we affirm at times of serenity.

We can and must direct the mind and if we do so the universe will respond to us. The universe is energy, prana, life force. It manifests as a multitude of forms dancing in harmony with spirit. When we understand the power of prana, we understand life. When our thoughts direct our mind toward spirit, we experience the oneness, the wholeness we yearn for.

So many people are only looking to the outside for scraps of pleasure, security or love, while they have a treasure within that not only includes all those things but is infinitely greater than any thing the world has to offer.

Do your pranayama, feel the life force within your body temple, live in the here and now, in the present moment, direct you mind toward the sanctuary of your soul, meditate and experience the oneness with the all.
