Devotion II

It is possible to realize God by devotion alone. For this, one should yearn to know God and renounce all erroneous beliefs and illusions about God so that spiritual growth ca spontaneously occurs.

When we are in a self conscious state, thinking that God is far removed from the soul is a hindrance in facilitating adjustments to states of consciousness toward spiritual growth. There ought to be a complete self surrender so that realization along with knowledge of God can unfold from the innermost core of our being.

Devotion should also be supplemented with the practice of purifying the mind to allow the awakening of super-conscious states to naturally happen.

When we are is a self conscious state, influenced by the illusion that we are independent beings in relation to God, we find it difficult to comprehend God as the field of pure Being without attributes or qualities.

To experience Absolute Reality it helps to inquire who am I and Who or what is God?

Whatever we think we are, we are is not what our true nature is and whatever we think God is, not what God really is.

Every belief must be allowed to drop away so that Self-knowledge and God knowledge can be experienced. This process cannot be forced; it needs to be examined in a gentle and alert way until it is revealed from within, as it is innate to us.
