When our consciousness is
primarily tied to the process of evolution, our awakening on the spiritual path
is generally very slow.
The lower we find ourselves
on the stage of evolution of consciousness, the more removed and disconnected
we feel ourselves from one another and from all nature in the realm of space
and time.
When space and time actively
have their say upon us, we seem to be like abandoned children, cut off from
everything else, thrown into the prison of self encasement in this body.
But, this is an illusion, a
type of make believe, which all space and time concepts in the end are.
We will learn to perceive,
that it is the spirit within us that wants to disentangle itself, stage by
stage, from the clutches of the space-time complex, which the world is.
So when we enter meditation,
it is not a small act, or a little psychological operation, it is instead a
ripple that we are setting up in the place we occupy here and now, that
reverberates the whole universe.
As we awaken more and more in
consciousness, as we embrace fully our primary purpose in life, which is to
awaken in God, all activities and every act become an act of yoga by uniting
our activity to the creative process of life.
For all of us, it is
necessary that we awaken in a state of consciousness that everything that we do
in life is for the purpose of universal existence.
When our actions are related
to the process of the universe, where every action serves a greater purpose, we
are in yoga, in union with the purpose of life and what we call God, whether it
is through meditation, our daily activities or the love for all creation. All
can be seen as Yoga, Oneness.
